We accept donations during store hours. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 to 4
These guidelines will fluctuate with market conditions and our capacity, and all donations are accepted at staff discretion.
YES, We DO accept these CLEAN, INTACT, SALEABLE ITEMS.
No, sorry but we CAN’T accept your BROKEN, OBSOLETE or HAZARDOUS ITEMS.
Below is a list of all items the GRC has allowed. Currently we are taking items listed above.
Lumber, Trim, Siding, Fencing
Dimensional Lumber, Trim
- 4 ft. minimum length. Must be denailed.
- Exception: Rough cut, old, beams, etc can be accepted at staff discretion.
Siding, Plywood, Sheetrock
- Full or half sheets, no rot, screws, or nails.
Fencing
- Metal fencing
- Plastic or Vinyl in good condition
- Wooden fencing without rot
- Railings and Gates
Doors and Windows
Can Accept in GOOD condition
- Interior doors with entire frame assembly.
- Exterior doors with or without frame.
- Vinyl windows- intact and functional.
- Cool or old wood frame windows, at staff discretion.
Cannot Accept
- NO Broken, damaged or incomplete doors
- NO Shower doors
- NO Hollow core doors without frame
Tubs, Toilets, Sinks
Toilets
- Modern Low Flow with bowl and tank (1.6 gallons/flush or less).
Sinks
- Must be in good condition.
Tubs
- Tubs and showe enclosures in good condition- no corner or jetted tubs
Cabinets
Can Accept
- Complete assembled cabinet sections only. Straight run uppers or lowers
Cannot Accept
- No cabinets with missing doors/drawers
- No corner cabinets
Flooring, Bricks, Pavers
Flooring
- Wood flooring in usable quantities no less than 4ft. in length
- Laminate Floor: New full boxes only. No remnants or partial pieces.
- Linoleum, Marmoleum, Vinyl: New matrial only, minimum size 5’x5′
- Tile: New only and in useable quantities
- Clean carpet in very good condition only. 8’x8′ minimum and clean area rugs.
- Carpet tiles.
Bricks, Pavers, Blocks
- Whole pieces, in good condition.
Roofing, Insulation, Pipes, Gutters
Roofing
- Whole bundles of shingles, rolled roofing, metal roofing
- Membrane, tar paper, flashing, roofing tools
Gutters
- Full pieces
- Couplers, elbows, downspouts
Insulation
- Batt Insulation (clean and in bags)
- Rigid insulation
- Duct and pipe insulation
Pipe
- PVC, plastic, metal all accepted in good condition.
- New connectors / fittings.
Lighting
Can Accept:
- Vintage light fixtures
- Complete light fixtures with bracket
- Glass shades and globes
- LED bulbs
- Commercial fixtures accepted at staff discretion
Cannot Accept:
- No incandescent or fluorescent l bulbs
- No fluorescent lights or fixtures.
Appliances, Furnaces, Wood Stoves
Can Accept:
- Working gas heating stoves
- Mini Splits
- On demand water heaters
- Wood stoves and Pellet stoves
- Furnaces if less than 5 years old and in working condition.
- Dishwashers, stoves, small appliances in working condition.
Cannot accept
- Refrigerators
- Baseboard or wall heaters
- Outdated or energy inefficient appliances
Furniture
Clean, intact, small scale or apartment-sized furniture in saleable condition will be considered at staff member’s discretion.
Please keep in mind that our indoor space for these items is limited, so we may not be able to take items if we are at capacity inside the building. We will not be able to take most couches, desks, and other large furniture items, unless they are unique or antique, for that reason.
We cannot accept donations of items intended for infants, including cribs, pack-and-play furniture, etc.
Electrical
Can Accept:
- Wire, Conduit, Boxes
- Packaged receptacles, switches, cover plates
- Electronic items in working condition
Cannot Accept:
- Anything out of date or potentially hazardous
Tools
We accept all types of complete and working tools. Saws, drills, mowers, tillers, hand tools, etc.
Miscellaneous
Homewares:
Home goods will be considered at staff member’s discretion.
Sporting Goods:
We are able to accept specific sports equipment in usable condition such as canoes, kayaks, SUP’s, weights, quality bikes, etc. We do not accept older windsurfing or ski equipment.
Garden:
- Gardening tools accepted.
- Plant pots accepted if in good condition. Plastic nursery pots smaller than a gallon will only accepted from February-August.
- Hoses must be in very good condition, with no holes, or major kinks.
