The Gorge Rebuild It Center Welcomes Nominations for the 13th Annual Tod J. LeFevre Sustainability Champion Award at The Gorge Rebuild It Center, Earth Day celebration, Saturday, May 2, 2026.

The Gorge Rebuild-It Center is now accepting nominations for the 13th annual Tod J. LeFevre Sustainability Champion Awards, which celebrates people and businesses who are working on innovative, creative solutions to the environmental, economic and social issues facing the Gorge. The GRC will present the awards to one individual, one business and one youth at the Gorge ReBuild-It Center, Earth Day celebration, Saturday, May 2nd in Hood River Oregon.
About Tod J. LeFevre
This award is named after Tod J. LeFevre, a longtime resident of Hood River and a true champion of sustainability. Tod passed away on March 7, 2011 when his long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis ended. Among many other things, Tod was a respected civil engineer, a mountaineer, skier, adventurer, innovator and teacher. He launched a solar engineering and installation firm, Common Energy. Tod and Marti have two children, Cassell and Sutton Bell. This award honors Tod and his humble determination to make our community and this world a better place.

The Gorge ReBuild-It Center(GRC) is a 501C3 non-profit and has been a beloved resource in the Gorge community since 2003. After twenty one years, the GRC continues to accept donated, usable building materials, home goods and sell them at affordable prices.
