About Tod J. LeFevre
This award is named after Tod J. LeFevre, a longtime resident of Hood River and a true champion of sustainability. Tod passed away on March 7, 2011 when his long struggle with pulmonary fibrosis ended. Among many other things, Tod was a respected civil engineer, a mountaineer, skier, adventurer, innovator and teacher. He launched a solar engineering and installation firm, Common Energy. Tod and Marti have two children, Cassell and Sutton Bell. This award honors Tod and his humble determination to make our community and this world a better place.

About the Gorge ReBuild-It Center
The Gorge ReBuild-It Center(GRC) is a 501C3 non-profit and has been a beloved resource in the Gorge community since 2003. After twenty one years, the GRC continues to accept donated, usable building materials, home goods and sell them at affordable prices. The GRC is thrilled to announce the grand reopening of our facility on April 20th, a significant milestone in our journey toward our mission to reduce waste, conserve resources, and inspire and empower sustainability through the reuse of materials. As we unveil the improvements made to our facility, including a new concrete floor, the Jewels B Garden Shed, a redesigned yard layout and donation/intake area, we are also excited to continue the tradition of presenting the Todd J. LeFevre Sustainability Awards.
