Grab some friends, clean out some garages and support the Gorge Rebuild-it Center.
What: Teams compete in a timed scavenger hunt across Hood River. The challenges are a mix of finding items, collecting specific donations for the Rebuild-it Center, and completing photo/video tasks. Points are earned for each completed task, and the team with the most points wins.
When: May 2, 2026. Packets of the list to do/find are emailed to the team at noon the day before (May 1, 2026). With participants expected back at the GRC for judging and Earth Day festivities by 1pm.
How
Registration:
1. Registration Fees: Teams pay a fee to participate ($25/person) Team sizes can vary and if someone wants to participate but doesn’t have a team, we can find you one, just reach out.

WHY: Come help support donations of items to the Gorge Rebuild-it Center via a fun community building event. The GRC is a Hood River staple and we want to keep serving the community and we need your help. Donations to the GRC make a huge difference in keeping the store
open and keeping materials from the landfill.
What it will look like:
Register by April 25 to be eligible to participate.
Team captains will be sent an email with the Scavenger packet on May 1 at noon. This will list out all the items for the scavenger hunt, the videos or photos we are looking for and how to win the MOST points.
That means you will have 24 hours to gather items from the list.

What you are supporting
The Gorge Rebuild-it Center (GRC) has been a beloved resource in the Gorge community since After twenty years, GRC continues to accept donated, usable building materials and home goods and sell them at affordable prices. Still the only used building material store in Hood River County, the GRC keeps usable building materials out of the landfill and circulating in the hands of Gorge builders, makers, and DIYers. The friendly staff take time to get to know each customer’s project, and enjoy helping people find just the thing they’re looking for.
